It’s that time of year where couples, partners, affiliates come together to celebrate Valentines day. So we decided to put together unique and harmonious art collection to view while celebrating the day.

Interesting Fact: Valentines day is named after St. Valentine a Christian martyr and priest who decided to go against authority at the time and conduct marriages. During that period, young men were not prohibited to marry as they were considered to be better soldiers when single. Despite this, St. Valentine continued to marry the young singles and that is the main reason why Valentines day is what it is today.

Introducing “VALENHEARTS” a collaborative digital art collection.

This article will look at the creation process, some of the images created, and designers that made it all happen. But first, the artworks!

SOME OF THE ARTWORKS

THE COVER

COLLECTION COVER

SpongeBob is one of the most lovable and pure cartoon characters known so why not make him the face of this valentines collection.

The addition of Gameboy graphics screen sets the tone for the collection which was a playful take on Valentine’s Day.

“VENICE” TYPOGRAPHY COVER

Venice is the city of love for many reasons, captivating hearts with its timeless allure. In this exquisite artwork titled “VENICE” the essence of romance is masterfully depicted through a melange of colours and strokes. The intricate detailing captures the unique charm of Venice — its winding canals, historic architecture, and the ethereal play of light on the water.

JPEG2 — JIGGLYPUFF

“JIGGLYPUFF”

Who can resist the charm of receiving an adorable bear from their partner on Valentine’s Day? Interestingly, Jigglypuff, the beloved character, isn’t a bear, but rather a cute and enchanting Pokémon known for its round shape and ability to lull its foes to sleep with a soothing melody.

Despite not being a bear, Jigglypuff has found its way into many hearts as a delightful and unexpected token of affection. Sometimes, it’s the unexpected surprises that make Valentine’s Day even more special. So, whether it’s a traditional teddy bear or a whimsical Jigglypuff plush, the sentiment of love and thoughtfulness remains at the forefront of this heart warming gesture.

How it Was Made?

The creation process was relatively quick as we start designing the artworks in mid January and the collection was done in only 5 days.

This is a testament to not only to creativity of the artists working on the collection but also the power of tools being used to create the artworks.

The tools used ranged from Photoshop to After Effects. There wasn’t really any software or tool we didn’t use!

UTILIZING ASYCD’S IMAGE GENERATION SOFTWARE

The Theme Explorer V1 is a tool Asycd has been using for a while and it was used again for idea generation purposes as well as generating the artworks for this collection.

The designers had unrestricted access to the tool allowing them to generate thematic images to start the designing process.

A THREE-WAY COLLABORATION

The collection was Asycd’s first real collaboration with artists to leverage AI to create art. Proud to the say that it was successful and we hope to work together on future projects later this year. The artists who worked on the collection are below:

AIRHEADSTUDIOS — Known for his trap-inspired edits with a retro cartoon twist. He was the main curator of the design for “JIGGLYPUFF” as well as helping with idea generation for the rest of the artworks.

GraphicsByTP — A relatively new graphic designer with a robust editing skill set from Photoshop to After Effects. His art style is fluid and can capture various aesthetics with little to no inspiration. He was a key figure in designing the “MONOGAMOUS” artwork as well as the collection cover.
